The long-awaited Viz dub of the smash-hit anime Death Note premiers Saturday, October 20th at midnight, on Adult Swim. However, Adult Swim has also announced that they will stream the same episode this Friday (that's tonight) on their website, starting a 6:00 PM. I'll be sure to watch it tonight and give my opinions on it, as I might not be able to catch it this Saturday. Enjoy the episode, all you crazy Death Note fans.

We haven't forgotten you, Canadians! Canadian channel YTV has confirmed that they will premiere the wildy popular Death Note anime series on Friday, October 26 at 1:00 ET/PT. Originally, the station claimed that the series would premiere on September 7, but they postponed it just a few days before. Adult Swim previously confirmed their October 20 airdate for the series.

Cartoon Network's late-night Adult Swim block officially confirmed on Thursday that the anime Death Note will premeir on the network on October 20 at midnight. This means that the immensely popular anime will be shown in its final dubbed form a full month before its November 20 DVD release.

For those not keeping up with the licensing of Death Note, it has been licensed by Viz Media, who also holds the manga under their Shonen Jump Advanced label. Adult Swim had a blacked out spot on their schedule for a time, and gave viewers tantalizing hints that it would be Death Note. Closely following the incredible success of Adult Swim's Fullmetal Alchemist programming, Death Note looks to be another smash hit for the network.
